Red, I’m shy of the new me,

Orange, not sure who I’m going to be?

Yellow, can’t shake this fear inside,

Green, new everything, nowhere to hide,

Blue, but there’s a calm inside of me,

Purple, shining truth for all to see,

Life starts here, my mask is down,

Healing from shackles that once bound,

Sunlight shining through to my soul,

Nature, connected, feeling whole,

Serenity, this gift that lives inside,

Spirit free, this narrow world made wide.

My colours, my rainbow is shining bright,

It shines now even through darkest night,

Maybe they won’t listen, even disagree,

None of that matters, my colours are free.

Free to shine for the world to view,

Free to be me, free to be you.
