My Past Life

The Echoes of Forgotten Years

By zulfi buxPublished about a year ago 1 min read

In the silence of forgotten years,
I trace the echoes, soft and clear.
A soul once roamed in lands untold,
In dreams of silver, stories bold.

The shadows whisper of times long past,
Of love and loss that didn’t last.
A different face, a different name,
Yet something lingers, still the same.

I walked through streets I can’t recall,
Felt every rise, each gentle fall.
Faces fade like distant stars,
But their presence leaves invisible scars.

The air was thick with hopes and fears,
A lifetime spent in joyful tears.
I saw the world with younger eyes,
Underneath those ever-changing skies.

In the depths of a quiet mind,
There lies a truth I cannot find.
Perhaps I lived, or maybe dreamed,
In another life, or so it seemed.

The past, a mirror cracked with age,
Each fragment holds a hidden page.
I wonder now, as shadows creep,
What secrets from my past still sleep.

Is it me who’s left behind,
Or a glimpse of someone else’s mind?
A puzzle locked, a mystery true,
The echoes of a life I once knew.
