My Own Galaxy

Where Dreams Shine Brighter Than Stars

By Astone ZuluPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

I have always felt like I existed somewhere between two worlds. One foot planted in reality, the other drifting in a universe of my own making. In the quiet moments, when the world outside slows down, I close my eyes and step into my own galaxy where I am weightless, where nothing holds me down.

Here, the stars don’t just shine, they whisper. They tell me stories of the dreams I’ve yet to chase, the love I’ve yet to find, and the strength I sometimes forget I have. I drift between planets made of memories some bright, some dark, all a part of me.

In this galaxy, fear is just a distant asteroid, passing but never landing. Doubt tries to form constellations, but I rewrite them with light. Here, I am not lost. I am becoming.

But reality always pulls me back alarms buzzing, responsibilities knocking, voices reminding me of who I should be. Yet, even as I open my eyes, I carry a piece of my galaxy with me. Because I have learned that the space within me is limitless. And no matter how heavy life gets, I can always close my eyes and return to the universe that is entirely, beautifully, my own.
