To my only guiding star
Beaming through my darkest night
My best is everything you are

Every day another unwinnable war
Still I stumble through the plight
To my only guiding star

Though life becomes an abattoir
Where dreams die in cries of fright
My best is everything you are

Cruel words drag me down like tar
Yet I hold on to all that's good and right,
To my only guiding star

When hardships leave their scar
that douse and dim my inner light

Trapped behind life’s prison bars
Dreaming of the day I take flight
