My Old Shoes

Memorial talk

By Dr. Sulaiman AlgharbiPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

There among the ruins

There between the pain

You lie down in the dark

Ruminating the strains

Upon you, the halos of years

The holes of the time

Have you ever dream

That fate reward you

Were you hoping for a day

To live in blessings

How short life is

How tough is the time

Do they know you are here

Do they know you miss them

Do they know you're in pain

Do they hear you scream

Were they plentiful

Or poor they were

Were they cute

Or ruthless they were

Oh, your happy past

Oh, your short while

There among the ruins

There between the pain

You lie down in the dark

Ruminating the strains
