They say # Black Lives Matter is a hate group
Instead of people tired of being caught in an never ending loop
Caught in an endless cycle of hate and systemic racism, but we are the criminals
Flawed is your logic and rationale
We are hated by all, even people who looked just like me too
And yes I went there, I know it and you do too
I am just not afraid to say enough is enough
I am not going to apologize if this comes off rough
But f*** it, these issues should not be treated kindly
I refuse to sit by idly
And watch as another one of my brothers, fathers, mothers, sisters, and child die
I am tired of watching another family have to say a premature goodbye
#Blue lives matter they proudly say
But I can’t pull my skin off at the end of a long day
The you say #All lives matter just to muffle my cries
As you make my hurt, my fear, my outrage nothing but lies
But the truth is you are the epitome of lies, all lives don’t matter
Especially when it’s someone like me who has their blood splattered
Or when I am profiled just because I am alive
By the 5
Oh, but that doesn’t matter right?
“Just be calm” “Don’t resist then you will be alright”
Then when my people are shot down
Doing exactly as you asked, you frown
You frown because I say it’s because he is brown
You tear apart the video and say “look he moved 3 quarters of an inch”
Who cares if his face is on the side walk being pinched
“Well blacks kill blacks all the time”
Am I the only one sick of hearing that same ole rhyme?
White people kill other white people too
But I am sure you’re well aware of that too
People kill people all the time, so f*** what you say
We are protesting crooked cops gone astray
Who get a slap on the wrist and paid vacation
Your ancestors boycotted for far less, “No taxation with out representation”
But we weren’t allowed, 3/5 of a person, I remember now
You refuse to let me forget it... wow
So no, I refuse to lay down and take it
I am going to keep going til I make it
If I am going to die, let it be on top of you
Since you try to keep me beneath you, when all I wanted was equality too
