I used to hide, lost in the shadows
Imagining a life, under the sun
Wearing this fear like a tattoo
Watching my hearts last colors run
**
Too afraid of my succeeding
The effort to be, was too intense
Never a fan of life’s competing
Struggling to find my happiness
**
But somewhere through the clouds
You came and rescued me
Your pull turned me upside down
Taught me to love the beast in me
**
Now my reflection, reflects the glow
A magnetic wave that has transformed me
A with every breeze my hunger grows
Revealing a new transparency
**
A howl, a prayer
You pull me there
I change and sway
And bow your way
The draw, intense
The need, profound
And now commit
To be your hound.....
(Howl at the moon)

Great poem, Kelli.
I think we are all kind of looking for a love like this. Good job.
Some wonderful words and love the form, how it almost transforms into a knife with a cutting howl
Mesmerizing and raw. The transformation feels both fierce and intimate. A beautiful lunar surrender
