Think of everyone you love.
I bet most of you thought of your lover first right?
Then maybe your children, your mother, your father, and so on.
What makes a lover so unique from everyone else?
Everyone else is somewhat in some way obligated to love you.
Like parents should love their child and as a child should honor their parent.
But a lover does not owe you anything.
Instead, he/she willingly and unconditionally chose to love you.
Just a wandering stranger who one day decided to stay forever.
Someone who is lovely and loving at the same time.

The colors of my people
My grandparents were the generation to lose their Home. They saw the river turn red with the blood of their people. Crossing the Mekong river could not keep them safe. They had to cross the ocean and live in a country where they knew not one word. All they can do was reminiscence on their childhood memories. When they had no worries and play in the orange dirt all day.
