I’ve never written poetry
But I could write a million verses about you
The way you comfort me when I’m sad
Or hold me when I’m feeling blue
The way you crack a joke
Just to see me smile
I’d walk the earth for our love
Go the extra mile
The first time I saw you
Everything else in the room melted away
Soon those deep dark secrets
Turned a muted shade of gray
When you first looked at me
With those beautiful brown eyes
My heart skipped a beat
I let down my disguise
You’re a breath of fresh air
In this crazy ride of life
I can’t wait for the day
That I will be your wife
I’ve never written poetry
But one thing remains true
I’ve become a better person
Just by knowing you
