My Love for You

A poem

Where is creativity,

The home of escape?

Time out of mind,

Every stroke a click,

The clock on the wall,

Bleeding out the rhyme,

Each of us trapped,

The desk a prison,

Exhausted we fall,

A bed a mercy,

Lost seconds add,

Tears on the pillow,

Only superhuman,

Fight for life,

Clawed upwards,

For the sun!

Take my hand,

We have won,

An open window,

Breathe anew,

I am grateful,

My love for you.

I love the zooming in and out effect of this poem, especially with this line ~The clock on the wall, Bleeding out the rhyme~ My brain finds it addicting, it's like a reward. But aside from that it also shows the very real process of writing, like you said it is like bleeding out the rhyme. I can relate to the desk being a prison, I can't move when I am in the writing zone, if I do then I lose everything and it's a pain when I do. But having someone there makes it better, well done this was absolutely amazing 👏

Am thinking...this is what love should be, together through the weal and woe.
