My Little Dragon Friend

A poem I wrote about my little incense crystal dragon I keep on my desk.

I'm not into dragons,

But I think you are cool,

I'm not into dragons,

But you wanted to come with me

Or maybe you are too cute for me to resist

I'm not into dragons

But i love having you near

Tiny claws, big eyes,

Nesting in a globe

Breathing in the smoke of incense,

The smell of roses and smoke engulf us both

The smoke flows into your globey lair,

Flowing down the three boned spike on yo0ur head,

It seeps through the blue plastic geodes that you perch upon,

Slow and smooth, like silky melted chocolate

The cone atop your globe,

Once bright pink is now white with ash,

Gentle wisps caress my workspace,

The smell of roses,

“You okay in there, little guy?” I say

As you start to fade into the smoke,

“I’m okay,” you reply, “I quite enjoy it actually.”

“I am a dragon after all.”

I smile and get back to writing this,

I'm not into dragons,

But you my friend,

Are the perfect companion.
