~My left hand!~

My left hand

Is hard and strong,

My left hand

Is tired of me.

It's been used so much

It's whole life long,

That my right one

Has learned to come along,

To give me a break

With what keeps me awake.

My left hand;

I cannot slow down

Or take a break,

All the work

That's been done...

Because of my left hand friend!

It would like a break

from all that I do,

Because of the brain

That I like to use.

So my right hand is up

While the left,

Learns to rest;

For the words I write

Are Every Day,

I cannot stop what I do

And so my right one

Now takes over the pen;

For both my hands

Are my best-friends!

Without them, I'd be at a loss,

With every thought,

That crosses my mind

And every door I open and close;

Every hand rail I touch

Or bags I carry,

It's simply true...

Someone like me

Must use them both,

Because my left is tired

For being used the most;

My left hand!
