My home away from you is perfect,

Because there I have my memories,

The dreams in my mind of what comes next,

And my hope for what the future brings.

TV nights in bed,

Arms wrapped tightly around me,

Gentle kisses on my forehead,

And promises of what will be.

Even though I am far away from you,

Even though we are apart

Even when my soul is torn in two,

And rain is pouring in my heart;

My home is there with you,

Held safely in your embrace,

My thoughts are of us two,

And my soul is filled with faith.

My home away from you is filled with sadness,

With tears and lonely nights,

But my home away from you brings happiness,
