My heart is charred.

A poem hot as a flame.

It all goes up in flames, isn't that the saying?

One mistake, one match.

My ignorance caught alight.

I don't usually get burned, but I'm the one paying.

The embers of my life, around me they're dancing.

One fail, one fear.

My world dark as ash.

It's poetic in a way, the heat is entrancing.

The fire licking my palms and somehow I'm compelled.

One beginning, one blaze.

My hand on the stove.

Strike while the iron is hot, yes, I'm impelled.

An ending already begun, why not watch it combust?

One end, one error.

My heart is charred.

Poke a stick at the remnants, see it all fade to dust.
