My Heart Ever Reaching

So Enters the Spring Goddess

Floating in the wind

Flying with the bees

Gliding past the bend

Enjoying a life of ease

Look at her wings

Flapping in the breeze

Enchantingly she sings

Waking buds on their trees

Stirring blossoms to bloom

She reflects the sun's rays

Lifting the shadow's gloom

In fun, she spends her days

Flittering all about

While dusting for Spring

She kicks Winter out

Removing the sting

From the bumble bee

Like a babbling brook

Her voice calls to me

Wanting me to look

Upon a beauty so fair

My heart will skip a beat

Seeing her upon the air

I bow before her feet

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
