A Poem for My Kids

The very moment I became mommy,

so many names: mom, mama, and mother

I knew I would almost do anything,

(not do everything) for him and for her.

I will forever, always love you guys!

Your sweet, gentle, treasured giggle and laugh,

your blessed voices singing little songs

and the way in which you are yet so tough.

I show it - the way that my heart aches when

you both are gone - even a little while...

Followed by such utter rejoicing when

you return to me - running down the aisle!

I am so very blessed to have been

given this gift of you - not one, but two...

kids with sweet angel kisses across their noses

and such big bear hugs for you and me too!

About the Creator

The Schizophrenic Mom

I am a mother of 2 precious angels who drive me slightly more crazy

than I already am with a diagnosis of schizophrenia.

When asked "are you crazy?!" my favorite come back is:

"yes! And I have the papers to prove it! How about you?" LOL
