My Faithful Pets

The quiet companions who never walked away.

By Fazal HadiPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

When the world grew cold and turned its back,

And hearts I trusted began to crack,

There by the door, with patient grace,

Waited my pets — love on each face.

No need for words, no grand display,

Just wagging tails and purrs that stay,

Through storm and still, through grief and cheer,

They never left. They stayed right here.

A dog’s soft eyes that seemed to know

Every tear I tried not to show.

A cat’s warm curl upon my chest

That lulled my worried mind to rest.

No judgment passed, no scornful glance,

Just playful barks, a happy dance.

In every pawprint on the floor,

I found a reason to endure.

They taught me more than books or men—

How to forgive, to start again.

How love can come without a price,

In fur and feathers, pure and nice.

Through every chapter, short or long,

They stayed beside me, brave and strong.

Their loyalty, their quiet grace,

Became my light, my sacred place.

Though life may shift, and years may end,

Their love remains, my truest friend.

And when I feel the world forgets,

I still believe—in faithful pets.
