My Dream World

Will I Ever Wake Up?

I want to sit here forever,

Enjoying glorious sunsets,

Watching the sunrise,

Listening to the chorus of waves,

And feeling the coolness of the gentle

breeze on my skin.

I want to watch the children play,

I just wish I could take their worries away;

For we live in the real world,

Where true life must be hidden,

To protect the innocent from

the foes of the unforgiven.

I want to laugh with my husband,

And watch my grandkids grow up,

with no worries about the future,

Regarding what might come.

But;

This is my dream world,

They only last while I sleep;

Trapped in a protective bubble,

On a perfect Earth that could never

exist in real life.

The questions are,

Will I ever wake up?

And Will the world ever wake up

with me?
