My Depression is the Moon

My perseverance is beautiful like a partial solar eclipse.

Every day you revolve around me, attempting to plummet me in

complete darkness. Before, I let you suffocate me to the point, that my

light nearly disappeared. Now I shine so brightly so even as you still try to overshadow me,

it doesn't matter, because they don't see you unless they are looking at us through a filter. Instead, they marvel at the sight because, yes, I have

pain. Yes, I have suffered. Yes, I have dark days. But I am like the

sun, brighter than the moon as it attempts to block its warmth and light from the

Earth. I may have to live with you, but you will never completely darken me again.
