Every morning I'd awaken,

Anticipating the new day

I'd dress and get ready for another school day

I'd ride the bus to school though no one really spoke to me

I loved being alone on the ride to the elementary school.

Although I had no close friends

Just kids I'd hang out with

I loved being on the play ground

on cold and hot days.

The class was full of student

both trouble makers and obedient

I was one of the best in the class

as hard as I work work off my ass.

Lunch was my favorite time

Although I would eat alone

that was mainly what I preferred

to avoid all the gossip.

Homework was nice

but at time dreadful

I tried my best to complete it

my best is all anyone asked for

I made the honor roll many times

being one of the best

Along with many others

who were among the rest

Report cards were handed out every four months

Most of the time mine were not bad

except for one year

I miss this school I would attend

more than missing anything else

if I could go back

I would go back nowhere else.
