My colouring book days

Oh to be a child once more

My colouring book days

My colouring book and pencil play,

Take me back to childhood days.

Pencils stacked in tidy rows,

Choosing shades my heart knows.

A purple sky, a bright green tree,

The world is how I want it to be.

No lines to stay in, no rules to keep,

Just colors and time, calm and deep.

Flipping pages, lost in play,

Drifting back to yesterday.

Soft, worn edges, pages turned,

Memories bright, a lesson learned.

Colors fades but moments stay,

Tucked inside in their own way.

No rush, no noise, just space for me.

My pencils, my world, my time, just me.
