My College Days

They were fun.

By Darla M SeelyPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

I attended Ricks College

Like my brothers and sister did.

I enjoyed going to school there.

I studied hard, had many friends.

I lived in off-campus housing.

And went to a few dances.

A girl that lived with me

Fixed my hair up really nice.

I participated in spelling bees,

And I had much success.

I was in a club called AWS –

Associated women students.

My major was Office Education.

All of these classes were fun.

Biology was a hard class for me.

I enjoyed the teachers I had.

My favorite memory of my college days –

Some friends did the twelve days of Christmas.

They gave me a box of clothes, and a coat.

This really surprised me.

The winters there were cold.

I am grateful for everything I learned.

There was devotionals and concerts –

So many fun things to do.

Darla! Where have you been? I haven’t seen you in a while. Everything alright? This was a lovely walk through your college memories. I can imagine how lovely your hair looked, and how excited you must have been when you achieved all that you set out to do through spelling bees. Glad also, to hear that you guys had devotionals and concerts. Sounds like you had a blast ♥️🤗
