My Child Just Died

My heart rate fell.

By Darla M SeelyPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

Sirens, then a phone call

I feel worried and wanted to bawl.

Lots of sadness inside;

Easy to tell someone had died.

Neighbor of mine was calling me.

Child of mine fell off her tree;

Endured pain, suffered, died suddenly.

sad poetry

    Oh miss or mrs Darla (sorry if i failed to address you correctly) , is this what happened to you? If it is I’m so sorry, and if it isn’t this was beautiful and believable. Written with such tender words, it captures the pain and suffering that comes about when a painful revelation has been heard.
