My Body is a Multiverse

I Walk in Awe

By Jennifer Bogert Published 6 years ago 1 min read

My blood flows like rivers to the sea

Carrying vital oxygen, the catalyst for life

My cells operate like complex machinery

Providing me with the energy I need

To move, to think, to feel, to be

I am a massive chemical factory

You may see me being idle

But my body never stops

Reaction upon reaction

It’s a miracle of engineering

With blueprints of dna 🧬

That would stretch out to space

Back to the stars which birthed me

I am atomic and I am cosmic

Each cell a miniature universe

Able to replicate itself

And though we are composed

Of the same elements

There’s no one quite like me

I am a marvel, a miracle

I am amazed and walk in awe

A moving, living, breathing multiverse

Dwelling in my little corner of space

My matter matters, and so do ‘I’,

The spirit entity that resides beyond the matter

And travels like light when one day I die

I’ll meet you on the other side....
