My Blue-Eyed First

Grandchild Number 1

My Blue-eyed First

His sweet little cry appeared so soft,

My first grandchild oh what a boss.

He wiggled, squirmed and demanded our attention, you see first borns are always power driven.

His big blue eyes, brought tears to mine, as I looked at myself come down the line.

God has big plans, I see in his face, he will wander on his journey at his own pace.

One day soon, a sweet little face will melt that heart, and his journey will change, a new one to start.

Never again will he be the same, not just my first grandson, but the father of my first great grandchild.

The line continues on as it should with happy and sad all mixed in the years.

Journeys take routes but they all end the same with love and family all changing shapes.
