My biggest fear is becoming you.
When I look in the mirror I try to wipe away the similarities in our faces,
scrub away all of the habits I hold on to,
as a lasting effect of your regime over my mind,
and push away the words of every person that's ever told me that I am just like you.
They never saw the you that I saw,
but if they had,
I would like to think that they would tell me
I am better and will be better
then you ever were.
