That moment when I get to right my wrongs,
Take me to that corner street restaurant where I first sat across my beloved.
Let me scold that little girl seated there
Smiling with such care
Caging her real self behind the mask of calmness she portrays
When that moment comes
That moment when I get to relive those sacred moments
Take me to that half empty house where I first lay with my beloved
Let me remind that child within that it is okay to be held gently
She does not have to pretend to be strong
When all she really craves is to get lost in the scent of her beloved.
Please coerce me into coming with you in that moment
That moment when I go back in time and find myself in my beloved’s arms
Let me remind that girl to be receptive
All he wants is to kiss her worries away
She does not have to be stiff just because she has been touched badly way before her time
She does not have to fight her beloved; she can just give in to him
And watch the world, as it starts to explode with color
When that moment comes
Remind me to remind that little girl within;
That to be loved is also as okay as being unloved.
