My Anchor for the Storm

Love what is. It belongs.

This too belongs

This moment with all its pains, pleasures, and infinite neutralities that lie in between

This too belongs

This moment with one Tabby curled up tight in my lap breathing softly in feline slumber while his brother lies on his own yet, just as cozy

This too belongs

This knowing that what they think isn't my business and yet the longing to change how they see me still so sharply pierces my soul

This too belongs

This moment of dropping my thoughts onto digital paper and hoping others see and approve... that they love it, don't hate it, say I'm enough please

And yet... this too belongs

This fear that forms a pit in my stomach like a lump of clay deep in my gut... what if I'm not enough

This too belongs

This fear and self loathing... it's okay, Dear, it's okay

You're enough and you've arrived

The destination is here

The time is now

The chase is done

You're enough

You're enough

You're enough

And

You belong
