sit in the doorway peach trees foretelling their bloom last year’s jam on toast * I wait for the peach trees to bloom. The buds are swelled and fuzzy, a soft pale green.

This poem was inspired by the original Disney animated film Fantasia. It ends as the demons who ruled the night flee as church bells ring, and morning dawns. This poem was also inspired by my experiences as a church prayer intercessor from 5-6 am for 4 years.
