Mother’s Day 2023
at the request of my friend Raymond Garcia

Mother's Day may be a simple day for some.
Dinner, roses and maybe even a gift.
But I'm doing things different this year.
Because my love and appreciation I want to make clear.
I write you this letter to tell you my truth.
My truth about the world's greatest mother.
To say the least, I'm very proud to be your son.
And that's just a hint of what is to come.
Words could never describe Exactly what You mean to me.
And Saying thank you will never be enough.
I'm grateful for all that you've given me.
Molding little me into the man I'm meant to be.
You gave me unconditional love.
You always helped me up When I fell down.
You never neglected to give out hugs and that beautiful smile.
Speaking words of wisdom and rocking your own style.
Something as simple as listening With a loving heart.
And Acknowledging your own inner strengths and leading by example.
Was all just Part of Your own special recipe…
A recipe for dealing with crazy little me
I might have disappointed you from time to time.
And I know I have made and will make many mistakes.
You probably think that I took too many wrong turns.
God knows, You cried every time when I got hurt or burned.
But you were always there.
No judgment. Only encouragement.
Teaching me the things that I needed to survive.
Teaching me to always hold my head high.
You made me believe That I was a Blessing that God sent to you.
But the truth is, mom. You're my blessing. God gave me You.
So I hope you keep this letter and read it Each and Every day.
I hope that it reminds you That you are loved always
It is Such an honor To be here with you today.
It is Such an honor to say that I am your son.
Truly humbled on this day as close this letter
Knowing I couldn't have said my truth any better
Happy mothers day love your son
