Mother Moon
A Samhain Sonnet honoring that beautiful beacon in the night sky
Mother Moon, on this, this Samhain night,
bless we your acolytes with fortunes great,
as we commune beneath your gentle light
with our loved ones on this eve of late.
Mother Moon, we ask you, light their way
to our altars 'long the wooded path
so they may come before the break of day,
where they will risk facing your brother's wrath.
Mother Moon, please keep us all within,
as we celebrate glorious Samhain.
