Mother, Mother, Mother, dear

In my heart I know you’re here

Although you left me in the dark

You will always be in my heart

From the day that I was born

Inside the lovely womb

I grew to be a little one

You held and cherished as your son

As time passed by you saw me grow

You taught me all there was to know

From an infant to a man

I grew according to your plan

I wish you seen me on my wedding day

But you were very far away

My bride a beauty what a site

It was such a lovely night

Every day I often cry

It’s so hard to say goodbye

I know you are here with us today

Even though you passed away

sad poetry
