This poem is about the morning's I spend with myself. There is an old adage about gaining wealth that states you must pay yourself first. Before you pay a bill, pay yourself. In this way, I pay myself each morning, giving myself something to be proud of the entire day. I may not have the best day at work, or an easy time in traffic, but the first act outside of drinking my morning coffee, was to take care of my physical and mental health.
