Waking up in bed,
With you lying next to you,
I can’t help but smile.

Washing yesterday away,
As you cook breakfast for us,
Makes my stomach growl.

Shuffling into the cozy kitchen,
You hand me a cup full of coffee,
My soul singing from the taste.

Sitting at the table while the news plays softly,
Eating what you just made for us,
Sighing at how delicious it is.

Everything is good,
And I would not change a thing,
Not one thing.
