Morning over Chestnuts
Quietly sunlight gives birth to believing…

Kindly and calmly the morning is shining,
Sunlight entwined in the chestnut leaves.
Moments of bliss my soul is divining,
Heart sings the song that it still believes.
*
Battered and weary, the year is fading,
Sun rays remind us of hopes anew.
Leaves of the chestnut in radiant hue,
Rustle so softly, sad memories veiling.
*
Days take their time, recalling the past,
Sending us signs as they quietly flow.
Gently reviving bright moments that last,
Heaven stirs dreams
in each heart
below.
