Morning Came Too Soon

A stolen night of forbidden love with my truest love

Morning Came Too Soon

Morning came too soon

a stolen night of love

soft words caught in the dark

touches that burned and healed

hands that told the truth

we could not speak

The world outside was waiting

we rose without a sound

eyes meeting one last time

our smiles already fading

as footsteps led us away

No one would ever know

how close we came to staying

how the night had felt like forever

yet morning came

and we had no choice

but to walk away

pretending it never happened

Very nice Maire, a stolen night. Reminds me of the first night I pent with one of my old girlfriends after a party at her house. 😉😉

Great work and so goes the ups and downs of new relationships and friendships.

Pretending it never happened is a powerful line reflecting human psychology, Marie.
