like a geode
tossed down a
mountainside
cracked and shattered
shards of me hang
in the revealing sun
how they shimmer
dance and shine
raining down
in a circular plot
without regard
to their landing spot
though many
come along
hunting my fragments
stringing them up
displaying moments
feelings crushed to
glittering grit
none ever
taking the time
to examine the
glossy cleaved edges
a puzzle defined
or try to collect
every splinter to
reassemble my
fractured soul
laughing eyes
only marvel
at the dancing rainbow
my prismatic remnants
now project
