Moonlit Siege

E3

By James GreenPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The moon was full, the night was dark

The villagers of Millfield were on edge, with nary a spark

Of joy or hope to light their way

For on this fateful night, they knew not what lay

In wait for them, in shadows deep

But soon enough, they'd have to leap

Into action, for with a howl and a moan

The vampires emerged, their teeth bared, their eyes aglow in the moonlight shone

The villagers ran, for their lives they did flee

But Sarah stood her ground, with a fierce look in her eye

She charged the vampires, her stake held high

And as they fell, she did not shy

Away from the fight, but kept on going

Until the last of the monsters was mowing

The grass, defeated and forlorn

Sarah stood victorious, the villagers reborn

From that day on, they knew

That Sarah would protect them, come what may

And so they slept easy, safe in the knowledge

That no matter how dark the night, they had Sarah to guide them through it.
