The moon hangs in the sky

held there by hopes

suspended in dreams

cool moonbeams

on loan from the Sun

to keep the

darkness at bay until

she returns

do you ever look at the moon

and think of me...

do you ever catch yourself

daydreaming and see me...

do you ever want to hold my

pulse in your hand...

feel my breath on

your shoulder as I trace

your lips with my fingers

down your jawline

to your neck...

or am I a figment of my

own imagination.
