MONSTERS AT BAY 7-1-2025

There was a man..made of..

Broken stones,

Broken rocks,

Broken bones..

of Earth and clay,

musty and dank..in decay..

Fighting to keep his monsters at bay.

It's okay to not be okay...

There was an old man..

Lived his life all alone,

Had many a friend,

Though none at home

It's okay..

Comes a great warrior..

Lived many a life,

Had many a wife,

Yet nary a soul to clock out alive

It's okay too..

There was an old lady,

Swear dear lord she was crazy..

Tore buttons off her shirt..

Just to pocket them in her skirt..

Sews them back on with some dirt?

It's still okay

It is you,

It is me..

and we are all they.

While the day will unfold..

'til a child unknowing but bold..

Gifts you this mild scold,

"It's okay to not be okay."

peace
