High up in a tree so tall,

There lives a monkey, big and small.

With fur so soft and eyes so bright,

He swings and plays with all his might.

From branch to branch, he loves to leap,

And play all day without a peep.

With nimble fingers and a smile,

He'll hang and swing for quite a while.

He loves to munch on fruits and nuts,

And make the most of all his guts.

With a chattering laugh and a happy dance,

He'll take a break and then resume his prance.

The monkey of the tree so high,

Is always ready to give a try.

To climb and jump and have some fun,

And bask in the warmth of the sun.

So if you ever pass him by,

Take a moment to say hi.

For the monkey of the tree so tall,

Will bring a smile to one and all.
