Mother, I wish to live and love;

Mother, I wish to cry;

Mother says I deserve to suffer;

Mother says I deserve to die.

Mother, I wish to win my struggles;

Mother, I wish to at least try;

Mother says I should drown my sorrows;

Mother says my earnings are a lie.

Mother, I wish to feel for something;

Mother, I wish to see the sky;

Mother says I deserve the fetters;

Mother says I'll starve if I don't comply.

Mother, I wish to trust so truly;

Mother, I wish to be loved back;

Mother says I deserve my torment;

Mother says I should get no slack.

Mother, I wish to glow in starlight;

Mother, I wish to simply bask;

Mother says I should bask in hatred;

Mother says I should down a flask.

Mother, I wish to simply live my life;

Mother, I wish to before I die;

Mother says that my life is torment;

Mother says me near her makes her cry.
