Moments and Memories

Nothing more; nothing less...

I was the new girl.

Three variations of your name.

Singular scrap of silverware, a talisman I claimed.

Spectator for a dancer.

Sad brown eyes.

4th of December.

A simple game of footy.

Longing for an heir named Jaxon.

Strawberry Blond, not Ginger, definitely not Ranga.

A childhood on a train.

Two families; two last names.

Both of them, yet, none of them yours.

Belonging nowhere and to no one.

Peter; an almost father and a middle name.

Boyish laughter.

Fight Song, take back my life song.

Uncouth phrases, the flip of a bird.

A broken knife etched into your chest.

Maybe you should love yourself.

Green thumb.

A six pack and sunflowers.

Midnights full of starlight and Pinot Gris.

Leading to flood gates in a room called ‘Enjoy’.

Humble Milk Crate.

A secret just for us.

Broken promises of a purpose together.

“What we have is more than this...”

Moments and memories.

-Unlearning Everyday.
