Mom,

Time is moving fast, through my newfound perception,

I have become stressed, life lost all its complexion.

You haven't done my dishes or laundry in a while,

I've realized your affection made life easy as a child.

I'm sorry for the hell I put you through, every mile,

Even with the terror you'd walk through, with a smile.

You'd always be there for us, and never be late,

Even if it meant starving to put food on our plate.

I'm grateful to have had a such strong caring mother,

I'm grateful and glad you been here from the start.

Your level of value can equate to no other,

You'll always have a special place in my heart.
