Mom hair, Don’t care
You got this, Beautiful Mama Bear
Messy bun
Dark circles under eyes
Stretch marks and extra chub
Today the mirror sees no makeup
The world says hurry up and cover up
A weary mama bear tending and caring for her tiny man cubs
Those boys are my true loves
No rest for the weary
I love them dearly
I wouldn’t trade it for a million bucks
Chores, oh chores, but STOP!
There are more important things to do ....
Playing, coloring, painting, baking, snacking, napping, imagining, creating, puddle jumping, learning, and noise making
Everyday planting seeds, watering, and letting them grow
Toys everywhere
But
Joy everywhere
Opening doors and windows to the outside
Let the light shine in and out
There is no other way for a mother to respond except to be kind
At nighttime there are books to be read and prayers to be said
Kisses on noses
A lullaby and a hug goodnight
To me, it is the most precious sight
Today, my husband told me I was his queen
He describes me as beautiful....
Maybe he sees my heart
Maybe he sees my mind
Or maybe he sees our life
Blessed beyond measure
Tired as a mother
But loved like no other
No life is perfect
Everyday is challenging
Every moment cherished
Everyday is hurried
Try to make every memory happy
Embrace all the things
Be an example for your people
When you blink a new day begins with that same messy bun
Try to make the day fun
And remember .....
Life is what you make it Mama- make it beautiful ..... just like you!

Blood sweet Blood
Blood. Red oxygenated, rich blood. I am a nurse by trade. So, I have drawn many blood tubes in my career. I have drawn blood from people of all shapes and sizes, colors, tattooed, tall, and small. All these exotic, beautiful people and even precious babies all coming from different homes, backgrounds, and lifestyles. But when the blood started to drain- it all looked the same- smooth and silky red. I have seen a lot of blood in my career. So, fun fact, we all have blood! We might all look different, have different passions, shed different emotions, and live completely different lifestyles. But we all share a common bond- that is, we all have blood that flows through our bodies from the tiny little capillaries behind our eyes all the way down to the veins in our feet. We all have the same color blood that gives us life. However, there are some of us in the world that do have differences within our blood. I am sure you can think of many conditions, that can affect our bodies. The specific variation of blood, I am referring to today is blood that is sweeter than it should be, sometimes it can even be as thick as maple syrup. I am referring to when people, such as myself, have the “ suga.”
