Mixing Compliments
With The Help of Black and White
By Nathaniel JansenPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

Life Is Color
Beads of sweat glisten on his brow as he stands in a swaying field of wheat.
His paints laid out on his pallet shimmering too from the heat.
He consciously mixes his hues reflecting on all he has endured, reminding himself that nothing alone in life is perfect and also pure.
With the addition of black and white, tints and shades flow with ease like day and night.
The bending of the brush hairs reflect the sea of grain, leaving behind nothing less than a story to remain.
Smudges now lay where the beads of sweat once were and the once, structured pallet are memories that seem like a blur.
He stands there refreshed and humbled by his retreat now ready to show the world how to flow like a sea of wheat.
