Misty Autumn Mornings
A poem about love, loss, and hope.
I long for those misty autumn mornings with you,
Days that stirred my soul with your selfless affection,
I crave to relive those magical moments amidst the morning dew,
In those misty autumn mornings where we had a divine connection.
Outside our cottage laden with lush green grass soaked in the mist so milky,
We held hands and kissed in the biting cold endlessly;
Our frozen noses hindered our kisses so very gently,
When your body was pressed up against mine beautifully.
You were nothing but an angel when you stopped to kiss the dew
On every differently colored leaf that met your eye,
Blessed were all those dew drops kissed by you,
And more blessed was I to be in your life now in the heavens so high.
Are there misty autumn mornings where you are?
Just like the ones where you and I once wandered joyfully,
There’s a feeling I will soon be back in your arms with certainty,
Hoping to relive those magical misty autumn mornings for eternity.
