Mischief and Mayhem

Dearest Mother and Father dear,

My pen in hand, I write with cheer,

To tell you of the things I've seen,

And all the mischief that has been.

School, alas, is still a bore,

But I've got tales, and so much more.

My teacher's laugh, a strange delight,

A hyena's cackle, oh what a sight!

Our cat, you see, had plans to dance,

But instead, it stole my pants.

I'm stuck in shorts, I must confess,

A fashion disaster, I must address.

And then, oh then, the strangest thing,

Our school mascot, a giant chicken with wings,

Ran through the kitchen, like a cartoon,

Singing a tune, like a mad buffoon.

But though these antics may seem absurd,

I hope they bring a laugh, a word,

For in my heart, I miss you so,

And long for home, more than you know.

Until we meet again, my dear,

Take care and know that I hold you near,

In this crazy world, I'm glad you're mine,

And I send you love, so pure and fine.

Yours truly,

Kiran
