For Ellie Hoovs' Wonderland Challenge - Day 18

Wallpaper peels

Like a sunburn

Cracked and raw

Bricks crumble

Like old bones

Fractured and brittle

Glass fogs

Like aged lenses

Distorted and cloudy

Foundations fall

Like ladened tears

Slow and steady

I walk through the rubble

Being careful not to trip

On truths buried

Like hidden mines

I don't need your voice

To tell me you've spoken

I don't need the light

To know I've been woken

I don't need a mirror

To reflect what is broken

Such incredible imagery in this! I could see the dilapidation! Love the Rhyming lines toward the end too! Marvelous job with the prompt word!
