I wanted you for me,

Or was it that I wanted to win the chase?

Clearly, taking you would be no guarantee.

*

With my sabotage help, you became free,

Your ex, gone without a trace.

Then, I knew you'd be happy with what could be.

*

I wanted you for me.

And then, I invaded your space.

We were good together, you must agree.

*

But then, a dose of reality.

You knocked me down - a fall from grace.

Without the slightest apology.

*

Would I bow out without a plea?

Rejection was a slap in the face,

And worse yet, you acted high and mighty.

*

I hatched a plan you didn't foresee.

I broke into your place.

A robbery gone wrong, murder in the first degree.

Who would get you? Nobody. I wanted you for me.

This gave me chills. So dark and intense, what a twist at the end!
